Sorry for the lack of a post but as I’m sure everybody else (in the U.S.A.) is experiencing right now things are a little hectic. I’ve continued trying to get things ready for winter and we are pretty close. I want to do the front brakes on the Bronco and it needs some new tires but then I think we’ll be ready for winter. I fixed the brakes on the Jeep a couple weeks ago and it’s like a new vehicle so that’s nice.
Cayse got some bad news last week. PAC (Pullman Athletic Club) where she works now is closing. Evidently the owner is unhappy that they aren’t making a profit yet even though it’s been open less than a year… Anyhow, she has applied to several other jobs one of which she is particularly excited about even though it isn’t training. We’re trying to figure out a way for her to at least continue teaching her classes.
Now for good news and something that makes everybody happy…
Puppies! Jo is doing good. She’s actually significantly larger than in this picture. Her and spot don’t fit in the kennel at the same time very well anymore but Jo still makes it happen. I have a few faildog pictures I want to submit. I’ll get more recent pictures up once I get them off the camera. Needless to say she is doing very well and has been a great addition. Since I put up the invisible fence Spot hasn’t left the property and knows exactly where he can and cannot go. Jo follows him but has just started straying slightly so we’ll see if she starts needing to learn to respect the boundaries (ie get her own collar) sometime soon.
Well, I just wanted to give a quick update and say we are still here and doing well. Hope all is well with everybody else out there. Take care.

This is our new puppy Jo (short for Jorgia) and she is a sweetheart. She’s about 9 weeks old and is an Australian Shephard mix. She is already very smart and is learning very quickly. Spot has adopted her as his own. He has been very patient with her biting at his legs or otherwise invading his bubble and stuff when she wants to play. When he wants to play he will lay down to play with Jo at her own level. As you can see they have significantly different levels…
We made it home safe and the house is still there. We had a big pile of boxes outside which was kind of funny. Luckily it never rains here during the summer so everything was fine. Anyhow, I just wanted to post up really quick saying we made it and everything went better than we ever expected. The only thing that really went wrong on the honeymoon was we (it was a joint effort) lost Cayse’s cell phone. That’s not too big of a deal though cause she still has her older one. Hopefully somebody will turn in her old phone before too long but we have it covered it that doesn’t work out. Anyhow, the Beloit’s have posted a few of the finished pictures on their blog. I’ll get some more up as they trickle in from different sources. If you have some and can burn them on a cd to send us that would be great. I am also going to look into how I can set up the gallery to let people upload them but I want to figure out an easy way since burning a CD is probably easier unless I figure out something different with the gallery.

Tonight was the best sunset I’ve seen in a long time. Here are it is start to finish even though my phone doesn’t do it justice (Cayse had the decent digital with her)…
I posted pictures of the strawberries, which I’ve been getting about a handful a day for dessert. Now, many of the other plants are showing quite a bit of activity.
Pears
Plums
Rainier (Yellow) Cherries
Bing (Red) Cherries
I just wanted to point out that as of July 1st it will be illegal to answer your cell phone in the state of Washington unless you are using a hands-free device. I’m lookin at you Ma. So make sure you (all) get out there and get some sort of headset and be safe. Also, while you are shopping don’t accept an expensive price and don’t go to a cell shop. Bluetooth ear pieces can be found for $10-$30 for a decent one quite easily. Wired ear pieces are less than $10. Even if you go to a cell shop it’d probably still be cheaper than a ticket.
Now that the PSA is over, things are going alright here. Crazy as usual but we are hanging in there. Darrell came and got more of his stuff so the house is cleared out of his stuff so we can get the rest of our things and set the rest of the house up. Things are getting finalized for the wedding so that’s good. No news about my job yet. I’m just hoping to hear before I take time off for the wedding. Anyhow, that’s all for now.

We got our satellite tv and internet installed today. Luckily everything worked out and the internet is fast enough for our needs. Some of the stuff we did with cable internet (ie video conferencing, online gaming, etc) might not work or at least not as well but it’ll definitely work for the usual stuff. Plus tv is awesome. We have HDTV now which is awesome and the receiver they gave us can watch different shows in the living room and bedroom or it can record 2 shows at the same time (including watching something we had already recorded if we wanted). It’s pretty slick if you ask me. Here’s hoping it stays that way.
Anyhow, just wanted to post up saying we are wired in again. Oh, and Firefox 3 comes out tomorrow (June 18th) if you want to get it.
June 10th and we have snow on the ground… It’s been snowing since about 6:45am when we were driving in to work (yes, I get up early now).
Ok, “Most Software Downloaded in 24 Hours” is a pretty nerdy world record title to hold, but hey, you really should get Firefox 3 when it comes out anyway so why not help them set the record at the same time.

By the way, I’ve been using Firefox 3 for a couple months now (since Beta 5 came out) and it is really great. It is a huge improvement over version 2 which was still the best browser out in my opinion. So yeah, you should pick it up when it comes out.
